The thing is marmite is a home made product made from waste brewing yeast from British breweries...why are Unilever putting up the price 10% on this? It will also affect all companies that sell Unilever. .they will either have to absorb the cost or pass it on. Not unless Tesco are just being aligned with the rest of Unilever customers to what they pay....remember earlier in the year about Tesco's treatment of their suppliers. It may have just bitten them on the ****...

Cheers

Clint

Distribution costs (fuel) are on the increase. Marmite jars are imported and their price will be hit by the low pound value. This won't just affect Tesco or Marmite. I'm pretty sure we'll see a lot of product prices creep up, especially glassware.

Glad I bought in a stock of preserve jars when I did. They can be re-used time and time again thus saving my pennies for the essentials in life such as Marmite.

Now I'm being more experiemntal with my brewing, this just gave me an idea. "Chicken and mushroom pot noodle and marmite saison"

Oh my God!!! Are you mad? that would be awful !!

- Surely the Bombay Badboy would be the better choice
