I have some questions about the Maxi coolers. Are the following right?

1. The beer line is just a loop of pipe in the water bath. As the beer pases through it is cooled. It is not pumped as the CO2 in the cellar will push it throught.
2. The python is a cooling pipe that keeps the beer line cool on its way to the tap, used when the bar and cellar are a long way apart. The Maxi pumps the water out of this outlet (and it comes back in again).
3. Not all Maxis have the python port. Without one you could add an external pump.

1,2,3, YES .

3, or replace the agitator with a small-medium sized water feature/pond pump.

2, it's also used to chill the fonts you see on bars. Not all maxis have temperature control. Cask beer tends to be served at cellar temp so coolant lines are not normally used on them, it's more for lagers etc.
3, Internal or external pumps can be used but beware pond pumps, they have large flow rates but little hydrostatic head so may struggle with reduced bore tubing and heights (my experience)
