Just bought my Corny off Norm, he sells stuff on ebay as Normanumpa

I was very pleased with my purchse..he really does ook after the Kegs and redoes all the seals and delivers promptly.

I paid £65 and it came with the quick disconnects, gas line and flexi tap at the beer end.

to finish the system I paid £34 for regulator off ebay from johnweldnffc again very prompt and excellent quality.

all i had to do to finish it off was by gas...

this i got from Andover Patio Centre which was £20.34 (No deposit or anything....brilliant)

All in all £120 isnt so bad

You can probably get a complete setup for around £110-120ish dependent on your gas supply and chains of tap(s). You can of course spend more.

Norm sells corny kegs and various homebrew kit. His gear, advice and service are top notch. His contact details are in the links section above. I would dip him a line if you are thinking of going this route.

EDIT: Plumpton typed quicker than I, still we both arrived at the same figure :thumb:

Definitely get your corny from norm. He has some going now for £70 (new price with inflation, postage etc) but be quick as they go rapidly. You can get them cheaper but when you consider you get disconnects, length of tube and a mobile party tap included in the price Norma work out cheaper. If your going to be brewing larger then I would suggest emailing Norm once youve purchased the corny and ask him to lengthen the party tap for you to stop the foaming issue you'll get due to the rapid loss of pressure. He'll change a few extra quid but that's it.

The regulators pretty much, as previously mentioned hover around the £30 mark. It's the CO2 that fluctuates so much in price. I got mine, a pub sized CO2 cylinder for £18 filled with no deposit.

You do realise they have a terrible habit of breeding don't you? Most folk start off with one and before they know it they have at least four. So if you are starting with four, that must mean you will soon have at least sixteen  :D :D

Ok, so here they are!

But how do I connect them? I know that this screws into the cylinder....

But then how do I connect the gas lines to the regulator?

I have a few of these

And one of these

And none of them seem to connect to the regulator?

Help!

:wha:

Where did you get the setup from - was it Norm??
If it was drop him an email and he will sort you out :thumb:

If not then you need to get a few bits. You could replace that regulator barb with a john guest fitting then plug your Y splitter into that then you can connect two kegs up :thumb:

Is that a barb? I thought the grey pipe would come out of the splitter and the splitter would then fit over the grey output of the regulator (where the grey pipe is in the pic of the splitter).

Ok so you have a 3/8 Stem fitting on the regulator

And one of these

Ok, take the gray pipe out of that bit . . . the splitter then pushes onto the stem fitting on the regulator

Ok Norm is saving himself a couple of cuts. Now that you have a regulator with a splitter on it, what you need is to fit the gray disconnects into the splitter. Take a sharp knife and cut the blue pipe that has the disconnects at each end . . . cut somewhere near the middle, and then each end pushes into the splitter.

The Gray connector connects to the gas IN in the corny . . . job done
