TC when to top up?

I put my first batch of TC on 5 days ago and was just wondering what are the signs that it is ready to top up with aj? Currently the airlock is bubbling around every 12 seconds, this is my first brew so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Day5 is usually OK. Earlier it may try to climb out. Leave it until day6 if you're worried, but as they can be done in 10 days (especially with current ambient temps) that may just extend the brew time unnecessarily
