TT LLU is coming to my exchange at the end of the month.
I am SERIOUSLY thinking about switching to them and saving about £20/month in the process. (more money to brew with  )

Does anyone use them at the moment/recently (not a year plus ago please I know all about the issues then)

They are my only option on LLU and BT will not be upgrading my exchange for a long time

If you use them what is the FUP like on unlimited? Do you use Usenet if so what are the speeds like?

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, no matter how fast or how cheap. Had three dealings with that group of companies, and they have all ended badly. I would rather pay double for a slower connection than have to deal with them again.

im with them now, so lpng as you never need customer services your ok, if you do need them you'd be better with morse code

My business phone is with talk talk (well opal) BT installed the line but talk talk took it over. Now I can't switch to another provider without having a new line and new number. They didn't tell me that when I switched to them.

:nono: :nono: :nono:

I use Talktalk for everything and I can honestly say that the service is great.

For £25 a month I have free local, national and international calls 24/7, unlimited broadband, Talktalk tv and line rental.

I agree that the customer service is a bit slow so all I do is contact them online.

we are with them phone and internet

seem fine to us ................. maybe about 2 yr ago they were rubbish and net went all the time but now I haven't had a problem (touch wood)

customer service can be poor but we haven't needed them recent

which is fine until your connection goes at which point you are stuck with the phoneline, which is not up to much IMO.

I've had no internet at home since Friday when TalkTalk began the migration of my ISP f2s who they bought via buying Opal. I have been on hold for long periods of time, they haven't once apologised in my dealings with them and have so far failed to fix the problem leaving me without any access to the internet at home for 5 days and counting. My parents have the exact same problem. This may not be an issue at all if you sign up directly with them, but it has certainly soured my view of them considerably. I've requested my MAC code, intend to change ISP and wouldn't go anywhere near TalkTalk again.

Recommendations anybody?

You could try my current isp - plusnet - fine if you are on a Market 3 exchange (Main town/city) but getting expensive for me out in the sticks.
I have a 3G dongle I can use in emergency to contact the forums etc or just visit a mate and use their BB :drunk:

I had a simular situation, watch they don't continue billing you for a service you haven't got and then try to take you to court. They also did something vey similar with my brother, who actually never had a line connected, he ended up having to go to court, of course he won.
