This means that I am a bad person because it is extremely rare for me to swear in conversation. No,really. Aint bringing the kid up to be a potty mouth.

Having a kid is amazing. Mine is now 17 and it's interesting to see how his swearing has developed. He'd never say anything too offensive but when relating an anecdote he's more liberal. As if it was someone else using the bad language.
You can't help the profanities sometimes...

I was brought up in a household where the men used to swear copiously but NEVER used "Pit Language" in the hearing of ladies or children and the women very seldom used a swear word at all.
I followed the same principal in my own home and with my own kids, so imagine my surprise when this little golden haired girl of mine at age four tripped up over the edge of a carpet in the living room and said "F u c k!" with some venom!
I asked where she had learned "that" word and was assured that "The boys at the weckweation gwound say it all the time."
I explained that we didn't say it and give the lass her due, it was the only time I heard her say the "F" word before she had kids of her own! abigt

Personally I'm not averse to a good swear but wouldn't use the most offensive (eff and C) in front of my Mum, parents-in-law or kids. I remember my school days and the switch from primary school to secondary school was like night and day, we didn't really swear much at primary but at secondary everything was out there

The filter is fairly basic but I think it covers most words.

My place of work I've never heard the word c**t used so flippently. That and the word nonce.
I mean I'm no prude. The biggest thing that bothers me is the incorrect use usage of them, those, there and their.
