Well i have tried it today and its a good'un!

Taste's fantastic and i'm well happy with my first attempt! Nice bitter taste, not much aroma perhaps, but maintains a good frothy head.

Hope you survived the curtain episode.

Still a breve man I think you deserve a pint or three.

Think i'll have a go at this when I have a spare FV. Did the Guiness clone 2 days ago and doing the 49'er as i'm typing and straight after there will be some Youngs Harvest Pilsner going on for the missus.

Yes, she has tried a few pints of it - i have converted her to drinking beer as she was a lager drinker before, she also enjoyed the small CAMRA gathering we went to also and was happy picking Real Ale names from the list and held her beer well enough for me not to carry her after one pint :D she manage two before she needed supporting at the bus stop

Might be ordering some grain shortly (and another net curtain  ) for another recipe, but i have so much to choose from so im trying to select something small and simple, but really want to try a stout.

Looking good :thumb: :thumb:

& at least I see another useful use for the net curtain, that the missus wouldn't approve of as well as wiping the old man on, post coitus interuptus
