Hi Guys,

I'm about halfway through my Tate and Lyle sugar sticks that I use for bottle priming and looking to restock.
If I was to buy Demerara sticks would they be better suited to darker beers such as Belgian ale and evil dog bad cat etc and use the white sticks for Mexican beer and hammer of Thor etc.

Do you think it will make any difference or am I wasting my efforts/time ?

The price for either is the same at £7.49 for 1000 2g sticks

I think given the small quantities required for priming I would expect it'll make little difference. The ratio of fermentables to priming sugar would, if my mental maths is correct, be quite high so there would be no significant benefit. This is however conjecture on my part and I am interested in hearing other's thoughts, and stand to be corrected. I use bog-standard table sugar now as all I want/need from priming is CO2.
