Light Mild

Gravity down to 1.011 on day 5, well it was probably day 2 according to ispindle but I’ve just taken a hydrometer reading to confirm. Nice golden colour and tasting good. Might bottle on day 7 for a fast turnaround with a view to another brew!

Light Mild

Bottled today on day 7. OG was actually 1.012, giving me target of 3.8%.

I’ve had trouble using Windsor on it’s own before, specifically once bottled; it just wouldn’t clear but my mash temp was incorrectly too high 🤔

Decided not to get my next brew on this side of Christmas, as my empty bottle stock is low and everything in the bottle is still conditioning.

I actually enjoy using brewfather to create recipes, many I never brew; to me it's almost as enjoyable as drinking the beer itself.

Love that I'm not on my own in spending too much time on Brewfather, tinkering with recipes.
I regularly have 3 or 4 recipes being tinkered with and ready to brew. So much to brew, so little time!

I still consider myself a real rookie at this stuff and find it really interesting to create my own recipes with some vague idea of what they should be, make the stuff and look back to see how similar / different the result is from the plan...

I’ve just counted 12 unbrewed recipes in my account, which might eventually be brewed, tweaked or deleted, plus 3 which are in line to be brewed before start of spring.

If only I had space for more fv and bottles, or a kegerator…

As for using brew software you can't tell me that all these big breweries and smaller professional brewers don't use software.
Or do they have one person who holds all the info in a little note book like Indiana Jones dad.
