I started a Muntons Premium Irish Stout 12 days ago and has been fermenting well checked the gravity over the last 3 days and its 1.012 but i think its stuck as the destructions say it should be 1.008 but i did use 500g spraymalt 500g brewing suger. Would this make a difference? :wha:
 
My Munton's Santa's Winter Warmer finished at 1.014 when the box said it should finish at 1.010. It happens quite often im afraid. I think I have only ever had one beer ferment all the way down to 1.010 and that was a wheat beer I made using 750g of inverted sugar (Brewferm Kit).
 
Thanks i'm going to rack it to second fv today and give it few days to settle before i bottle.
