Strongest beer in the world?

Must say I would be interested to try a bit, I like whiskey and would be interested to see what a hopped/ complex malt bill whiskey would taste like. So I can see the point if only to provide a different taste experience.
 
As far as i'm aware is Samuel Adams Utopia is the strongest
beer in the world. It doesn't mention anything about distillation. It says they use a champagne yeast and their own yeast.

I'm wondering if they use some variant of wlp099 which is supposed to be able to ferment to 25%.
 
That's an interesting yeast, several people mention using US-05 first and then adding the 099....... Thing is I'm not sure I could let a beer condition for 2 - 3 years !
