About to start me first EPA brew and have a few newbie questions before starting.
I am a bit confused about how much water to start with in my boiler, I am doing the 23L brew in the attached, at the bottom it says "Total Liguor 34.1L" does this mean I should start with 34.1L in my boiler before adding anything.
During my reading I have read about sparging, I will use a brew bag and had not intended doing a sparge (not knowing about it), should I keep some water back to spagre? If so how much?
The last question is the hops, I have ordered pellets to be added in three stages, can I add these in small bags (I have small muslin botanical bags I use for column vapour infusion in my regular brewing) or should I just drop the pellets straight in.
(I have ordered the GW book but it has not arrived yet, the book probably explains more about this recipe).
