Well I got my delivery of this cleaner yesterday and following instructions I made up a batch of 15 litres in a 19 litre container.

I used it for final rinse in my bottles before bottling and also used it for sanitising the cleaned car boy and also the brewing bucket and all equipment though it did seem strange not to rinse out the bottles as I could see some bubbles in there.

How long can I keep this solution that I poured back into the container and how long would its effectiveness last in there

Am I ok to use this today to sanitise 3 cornies and then put back into the container or do I have to keep making new batches up

Lots reuse it over and over again. However given how cheap it is i make up a batch - do the bottles , clean and do the FV and anything else and the throw it away - Fresh batch everytme for me :thumb:

The theory is reuse it until it goes cloudy. For me that was about 5 uses. Rinse out of FV's etc. Using a 5l Ashbeck bottle. As my water makes it go cloudy out of the tap.
Any reason you made up 15L seems like a lot. I rinse my FV's in 5L happily.

I have been using a 5l mix for the last couple of months. Its been cloudy since the 2nd time I used it but I always feast the pH before I use it. Always seems to be ph2

Same here. I saw a video with the guy who started 5 star and he mentioned that as long as pH is below 3 it is effective.

I have been using the same batch I mixed up four months ago, without issue. I just made 5 gallons right off the bat and keep it in a bucket in the garage, the first lot went cloudy as it was out of the tap ( major chalky water here ) so i binned that and filled from the water softener and this has held its low ph without any problems, i swirl and clear everything from here and then tip straight back, it seems to keep for a long time.

Regards

15 litres because first time user but after thinking about it I now know better ;)

It was cloudy when I just took it from the shed but I put this down to my tap water I think

Very strange filling a corny and watching the beer push a big snake of foam out

very much so, 1.6 is very acidic so will create a horrible environment for buglies
