It does last a while but personally I think it is such a cheap way of sanitizing it's not worth risking stringing it out.

I buy a 2 litre Ashbeck bottle, add the starsan and just keep it in that (suitable label added of course). I just treat it then as disposable; use as required and drain to waste. As Dennis said, it's too cheap really to faff about with.

+1 for Ashbeck bottle.......... I also use a 500ml spray bottle.

So do you mix a new 2 litre every time you want to sterilize something?

I made up a 1 liter spray gun full last night but only used a quarter of it. I know it's cheap but it would avoid the faff of mixing more up in a week or so if I knew the rest of what is mixed is fine.

No, I keep the 2 litre bottle of made up solution and just draw from this as and when needed......fill a sprayer to do FV's with or put a glug in to a cornie to santise. I don't recover what I use...it just goes down the sink.
I've seen people post about reclaiming solution after they've swirled it round their FV or corny.

No I've no plans to re-use the solution. Good to know I can make up a batch and keep it of the shelf for a few weeks

I make up a 5L Ashbeck bottle. I do reuse the solution and so probably get 3 or 4 brews out of 7.5mL of Starsan. I do live in Yorkshire.

+ 1 for 5l Ashbeck water.

I only use it twice though 'cos I'm a Southern Softy. ;-)

I'm actually a Southern softy too but living in Yorkshire for 20 years has influenced my spending.

I mix it with reverse osmosis water from the tropical fish shop - 10p a litre...even cheaper than Ashbeck- lasts ages mixed in a spray bottle with this

Next time I go to the garden centre (where there is a pet shop concession) I must remember to take my 3 empty Ashbeck bottles.
