This is number two brew running in tandem with a Woodfordes Nelson's Revenge. This had the airlock bubbling away within hours of going into the FV. It did this for 3 days straight, but stopped completely after that. I think most of the vigourous fermenting has been done, but the starting gravity reading compared to this mornings is giving 2.36%! I'm going to leave for another few days before taking another reading, but happy to leave this to do its thing.

I've had a thermometer sitting on the outside of the FV. It has been between 17.9 and 21.1 degrees. Obvioulsy the drop/lowest temps are recorded at night when the heating is not on.

My readings so far:

29.11.21
24 degrees
1.034

04.12.21
19 degrees
1.016

Question is, as the temperatures have dropped in England in the last few days has this impacted the process as today's reading is 19 degrees.

The other question is does this need 'restarting'? And if so how would I do this?

All help/comments much appreciated!

Update. I've tried putting the brewbelt on, and within 15 mins I've had slight airlock activity....

Sometimes just giving it a mild stir gets things going again. Thankfully I have a brew fridge so temperature fluctuations are not a problem. The garage being full of building stuff for the extension, now that IS a problem but they've nearly finished so back to brewing soon.
