Hi.

Having just got a G30 and the GF SS paddle I wondered if these are actually used by anyone and if they are effective in de-clumping the grist without scrating metal to metal.

I thought about making a wooden one to avoid scratches but it's not exactly a sanitary material although I know the boil will remove harmful bacteria.

Any preferences on here?

I've used a long wooden spoon for about 4 years with no apparent issues. It's only used before and during the boil though so no chance of contamination.
