I'm thinking of having a go at some WOW..... :wha: now my Q is... can you reuse the "srew top type" wine bottles.. with the same cap??? will they seal ok ?? If I want them I can have a steady supply from the local bar :hmm:

I've got an old corking machine and I could get a bag of corks...but I thought it may be easier with the new type bottles

I re-use them for WOW, but I wouldn't trust them for long, they get looser the 2nd time round and I wonder how good that seal is now. I have started putting some cling film underneath to make sure I get a good seal, but am steadily moving over to corks.

i just put a cork in them, 90% of my bottles are screw caps. I wouldnt trust the old screw cap too much. Think you could put like cling film or something over the top first but if youve got a corker already, i'd suggest corking :thumb:

Hi, you can re-use screw top bottles without any problems for 2 to 3 times, after this the insides of the tops become a bit worn and i would advise throwing them at this point.

can you get bigger corks to fit the screw tops as the ones i have are to small to fit the bottles
