Hi , no you need to let it drain out on it's own . we aren't talking much anyway so don't worry too much about the loss . If you do squash the grains you risk releasing tannins from the grain which will leave an astringent flavour in your brew.

Thanks I should have figured that my self. But some one how was smart enough to heat up the carboy before dumping in the wort would be smart enough to not put it it the sink and turn on the cold water. Now ineed to find a new one.
 
Ouch.. Maybe also build yourself an immersion wort chiller?
