Hi all, Anyone know what sour beers are bottle conditioned and available over here?
I racked a beer fermented with wlp655 into secondary last night and would like to add some dregs.
Looking at the bottle conditioned beer thread I see that Cantillon would be suitable. Not sure if I can source this without a fiver postage.
Think lindemans are. I can get these, probably the fruit ones from my local beer shop(inn at home).
I emailed the wild beer co a few months ago about the subject but no reply...
Also planning on getting a second sour on the go soon as I've a spare glass 18l fermenter and a jar of slurry from from my latest batch. So a few different beer dregs could be interesting.

Cheers
John

The mad fermentationist maintains a list of sours with usable dregs here:

Not checked, but I think Lindeman's pasteurise theirs.

Orval is quite common and they bottle condition with brettanomyces, so interesting flavours but not souring as such.

I'm pretty sure Wild Beer would be a good option to try. Their Evolver says it'll develop with time, so I imagine there's plenty of bugs knocking about across their range

Those Americans are spoilt for beers!
He states that the lidemans fruit beers are pasteurised, but I think there gueuze is bottle conditioned.
Brouwerij Lindemans – Cuvée René Oude Gueuze, Cuvée René Oude Kriek(pasted from the list)

Nice one. I'll add that link to the bottle conditioned beer list :thumb:

I have a selection of commercial sour beers at the moment. Some do appear to have sediment in them.

If you are about either this afternoon or tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon you are more than welcome to pop over and take one.

I'm busy all weekend, but sometime in the week I can pop round. I've got a couple of brett beers I can trade with:burp:
