Yes it does but humour based on someones skin colour would be frowned upon so why should humour based on someones physical impairment be ok?

While people would not think to make a rascist joke it is ok to joke about someones impairment that they can not help?

there was a picture recently on here showing a little old lady ( very small and hunched ) looking in a shop window. Titled ET didn't go home.... :whistle:

I was not getting on a soap box or high horse. I am not trying to have a go at you PD but was instead trying to highlight that it is maybe not in best taste. A joke about someones skin colour or sexuality would not be acceptible and neither should one about someones diability.

I would just like to see people be more aware about disability. It is something very close to my heart. All I am trying to do is explain my views and not rant or preach.

(Mind you I probably come off as dead ranty and preachy :lol: )

Agreed, I seriously doubt that PD came up with that joke and expect it went viral by txt and on social networking sites within minutes of the arrest announcement. A work colleague of mine receives and shares plenty of these, usually in bad taste, but it does seem to be human nature to poke fun at someone else's expense, particularly when the mighty fall.

There's plenty of jokes flying round about this, all of them in bad taste, but would it stop me sharing them? no. Something tells me that his disability is going to be the least of his worries. This story stinks to high heaven of lies and cover up. He lives in a gated community ffs. Anyone who has seen these would know that the chances of a rat getting in, let alone an intruder are slim to none. And if he is proven to be the murderer that he clearly appears to be, then he deserves everything he gets.
