Hi all,

I did a temp check this morning and my brew was sittign at 17.7 degrees C this morning. I have it in the Garage with a Space Blanket around it to help maintain the temp. The past few days it has been maintaining a temp of 18.5. I will check it again when I get home. Should I be concerned? I started the brew on 31/08.

Nothing to worry about there. You probably don't want it to get much colder though, although by this stage it should have done it's main fermenting so probably won't hurt.

An easy way to keep it warm is to get a builders trug, put some water in it and stand your FV in it. then use an aquarium heater to keep the temperature of the water in the trug at between 18 and 19 degrees. This will in turn maintain the temp of the beer in your FV.

Sounds pretty good to me, if it stars dropping more you might want to insulate it from the concrete floor which is acting as a heat sink.
