What different ways do people connect their solar pump to plastic tubing? Looking to do it cheaply... of course...

Cheers :thumb:

its not the best picture, but you can see it here. its a 1/2" female to 15mm compression fitting, then the pipe...

what do people do with regards to priming the pumps?

Ive read that just keeping it below whatever you want to pumpand allowing fluid to run into it works

I just used some large dia plastic tubing it fits on to the connectors inside the screw on connector and on the other end I use some 15mm -> barb connectors so I can just screw them on to my shut-off valves.

As to priming, just turning on my tap on the mt causes wort to flow to the pump then I switch it on :thumb:
Same with the boiler, just keep a hold of the pumped end and move it down if necessary - if I don't see any wort then a quick suck on the end usually produces enough to get it started.
