Hi Everyone
This is my first post Getting back into wine-making after a 20 year break
I live in N Norfolk and the water is very hard. The house has a water softener plumbed in, I am wondering which supply to use ,the kitchen has a hard water supply & the rest of the house is soft Does it make a difference if so. what ?
Many thanks in advance

It will make a difference your better testing the water your local water report will tell you what you need to know then you can add the right chemicals etc

I understood that you shouldn't use softened water for brewing. Something to do with the salt/taste.

I also have very hard water, and so I use bottled water instead (plus this gives me a very handy supply of 5L PETs ;) )

Our water in Devon is very soft I make wine always taste fine to me
