Sodium Percarbonate Purchase Warning

I just wanted to put up a warning to others here about a recent poor sales experience when buying sodium percarbonate on t’interweb.

I found a website called Ellcon (maybe there was a clue in the name!). 2kg of SP for just over £6 plus £3 delivery. ETA was 3-5 days. Ordered on a Monday thinking if I was lucky it might arrived to use at the weekend.

3.5 weeks passed and no delivery. No response to email and calls. Eventually arrived with insufficient postage paid so had to pay another £6.50 and 2 more days waiting. No response to further email.

Avoid!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I ordered some from the same supplier earlier this year and although it wasn't the quickest, it arrived fine.

The only strange part was that it came in a resealable bag, wrapped in brown paper, but there was a small tear in the paper and the bag beneath. It made me wonder whether someone had sampled it, thinking the package might contain something illicit. Just had a picture in my mind of someone rubbing it across their gums.

Aother one for Astonish Oxi can't go wrong with £3 for 2kg.

Oops! Yes indeed...with the 1p you could go mad and buy a hop pellet for the smallest dry hop,to add no aroma and no flavour. Ah! Ideal for a Boddingtons clone!

Shame you had a bad experience. I've used them a few times now and referred others to them as I've never had anything but positive experience.

Might be a one off hopefully.

Ah now this is interesting . I also ordered a large amount think it was 10kg , and it didnt turn up. How ever 10kg of coconut oil did arrive. Again no replies to an email. no one answered the phone. so i gave up. id avoid them

My wife was irritated at first. Then she realised it is healthy to cook with. The new diet she was doing said that it should be used. So we use it in all cooking now.

On the plus side coconut oil is really expensive so you've saved yourself some money on that.
