So what do we think of this?

Looks great but what I can't understand is you beer will be sat on the trub and/or the Lees until you have drunk it all? Looks good but don't seem to ship to UK :( would love to try one.

It's a conical. So you dump the trub out through the bottom I think the video said that. I suppose you need to do it at a time such that the pressure builds up again after?

My issue is it's a lot of money to keep one batch of beer cold. If I had the money and space for nine of them it would be great

The price doesn't bother me as your paying for convenience of having an all in one. It's more does it do what it says. Ill probably buy one anyway to try it out when they released.

That's the spirit!

Tempted myself but on the fence right now. Lotta money but the convenience factor is huge!

Hmm!

Not keen on the price ("she" would kill me if I ever spent that amount in one go!) but learned something that I will try for cold hopping!

The blurb mentions a "French Press" which turns out to be an ordinary cafeteria thingy and there's a great write up here on what to use it.

After fermentation is completed I syphon the beer into a separate vessel before bottling so adding a hop extract along with the priming sugar at this stage seems like a great idea.:thumb:

Anybody agree? :?:

I like the idea don't like the price and worry it would be a nightmare to clean. Note its 110V only so can't be used in Europe.

A transformer would get round that problem.

I so like the idea of a car that turns into a robot AND makes your beer for you. Optimus Ale anyone?

Would you do it with wort or just water?

On balance, I think I would just use boiling water to produce the hop extract.

I would then dissolve the priming sugar (or DME) in the hop extract and then stir in the mixture as usual just before bottling.

That shouldn't increase any risks and should also ensure that all the hop aroma got into the beer.
