Well having moved house and been here for a year it was time to start brewing again.
Im telling you this to make others aware that yes if you dont pay attention you to can knacker your brews. I have been brewing for about 4/5 years but have taken a break as we were selling home and moving to a new one with a garage!!!!!
So made up my 2 brew 3 weeks ago Bandit Brew and a Raspberry lime cider.
All went well balanced the temp in the dinning room to allow them to ferment out. Added the falvouring to the cider. Put them in the second FV to allow the clearing process to clear. Stuck them in the garage!
Put the Bandit Brew into the Corny thought it was a bit sweet but thought it would be ok!
Bought a fridge, got fonts, Gas. Butchered the fridge kitted it out with all the correct equipment.
Guessed where Im going with this.
Went out to the Cider and transfered that into the Corny.
After the first soook I pour a small amount into a glass to try will it is filling the corny.
Tried it OMG it is rank..............
Put gas in it banged the pressure up. Thought it Ill try the bandit brew just a wee half through the Kegerator.
Poured well no head ok thought it was down to I need to adjust the pipe length to get it right.
Tried it HMMM strange it taste like....................
APPLE I can only think I have gotten the two mixed and put the flavouring in the Bandit brew but Im still not convinced. Will leave the cider for 4 weeks if its still rank its down the sink and will see what happens to the bandit over the same time may just add blackcurrent to that one sigh.
So off to start my next 2 tomorrow!
Fingers crossed I dont have another crisis!!!!!
