Hello,
I have my first couple of pressure barrels in the store now maturing after doing secondary fermentation in the house. Its cooler there so think thats right but I was worried about the light getting to them. Do you need to be carefull when storing them in a pressure barrel? The store has two florescent light in there and wondered if I should cover the barrels to block it out? Got a springy socky thing ober the taps as someone said they should be protected from flies.

Cheers, Colin.

I have had no problem and my barrel is kept in the kitchen where the sunlight gets to it (only place I can keep it while it's being drunk).

I think it's due to the fact that they are not clear that it's fine for light to get to them.
