He's retired and is now a full time sauce potWell maybe @Hazelwood Brewery can quit his day job and buy a brewery?
I am pretty sure he works harder now retired in his garden than he would owning a brewery, and imagine the perks drinking on the job? He's retired and is now a full time sauce pot
Yep I'd imagine the only way to make it now is to keep everything in house as a taproom or owned pub model to make sure you have the margins to cover the input increases. I would imagine they were not able to service their debt and likely couldn't get suppliers to give them credit. But who knows. All joking a side it must be a fierce industry to be in. Profit margins must be tight, the jump in the cost of electricity alone would be enough to put must in difficulty
My nephew keeps trying to convince me to set up a brewery. He wants to be my sales manager - I know he wants free beer!Well maybe @Hazelwood Brewery can quit his day job and buy a brewery?
That is good news. I passed Thornbridge Hall and close by Kelham Island today. It was fateIn better news, Pete Brown reporting a consortium with links to Thornbridge have bought Kelham Island Brewery so Pale Rider will ride again. Very tough times out there for breweries and pubs. Wine industry suffering too - not least from the weak pound.
