As a neutral observer (honest 🙂) I could see that happening too...
the England hooker knocking that ball out (and then feigning injury FFS 🤦‍♂️) firmly swung my support behind the Scots...

I imagine cheating in rugby is very much frowned upon unlike in football where its commonplace, he let himself and the side down.

That depends exactly what you mean by 'cheating'. There's certainly plenty of 'milking' of penalties in rugby. You may, or may not, consider that 'cheating', depending on your POV.

But let me just say that the concept of rugby union as a game played by jolly decent chaps who don't go in for cheaty stiff like these overpaid oiky footballers is a fantasy.

Well in that case i stand corrected, as i have already said i rarely watch rugby so was under the impression the players don't cheat like footballers regularly do in fact the ref reminds them here -

It amuses me how a small bloke can talk to those massive guys like they are children and they never retaliate, i wish football players had the same respect for their refs.

i wish football players had the same respect for their refs. (chippy)

It is the refs' fault - they do not punish dissent. If dissent = sending off, then managers would tell their players to desist...

umm dissent and desist in same post....

This wont be popular but i think we need to bring a sin bin into the game a few minutes off the field for arguing with the refs decisions, shirt pulling at corners and diving would soon stop it.

Good game.

The biggest cheat in rugby was when a physio would had a player a razor so during the next stoppage they can cut themselves to allow for a blood substitute when they have used them all.

Got up early watch Ireland France. 20 to go and entertaining game, could go either way yet.
Good refereeing on that claimed obstruction. Pleasing to see common sense used...

(I say early, was 6:30, but only rolled into bed at 2:30am. Could be a nap this arvo) 🙂

Was an error ridden game by both teams. I thought Ireland were out of the game at halftime but surged back to bring it close. Was a great game and think that France will win it but they are beatable. Really enjoyable game except the result 🤮

France surely look the strongest; good in all departments.

Typical France for me, They often go to sleep especially just after halftime, Other than that I thought they bossed Ireland for most of that game. But they look the strongest and a good chance of GS.

Great round of games this weekend. France looking at a grand slam, be a good match next week. Gotta give credit to England too how they rallied after being a man down in the first minute. The score doesn't reflect how close it was towards the end. That's a sign of a great team, going so close being so disadvantaged.
Ireland let them in to be fair, I suspect their coach will let them know they didn't press their numerical advantage...

Thought Ireland did great, let England wear themselves down then pressed their advantage. Very professional. Englands front row were extremely good though

France are probably the best team in the world at the moment overall, should get the slam imo. If not they will underachiev

Watching now, much friendly time, 7am in NZ... 🙂

Fascinating end to the comp. Ireland currently leading Scotland and looking likely for a bonus point.

If France beat England they take the title and a grand slam. England can deny that and hand the title to Ireland (I think). Great stuff to watch with a cuppa on Sunday morning after a few too many beers last night... athumb.. :D

I wouldn't personally say that.

Ireland were a man up from the off and had an 8-0 lead.. England fought very hard to bring it level and Ireland were on the back foot until England ran out of steam which is always going to happen when playing a man down for the whole 80.

I think France will pump england though, Eddies selections become more bizzare
