Simply brown ale, dry hop recommendations please.

good morning people, I stuck a simply brown ale kit on yesterday to keep stock levels up. Can anyone recommend a hop to dry hop this kit with?? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if others will agree, but my idea of a brown ale is a very malt-forward beer with hops very much in the background. Certainly not a brown IPA!. If I wanted to add a little bit of hop character, I might go for Brambling Cross or Fuggles. But you don't say whether it's an English or an American brown ale. Even the lads across the pond wouldn't chuck a kilo of Citra in it, I don't think.

Why do folks believe all beers need to be dry hopped?

thanks for your reply’s chaps. I know what your saying the reason I was considering it was all past kits I’ve done I’ve brewed short, And this one ended up full 23 liters due to me treating 20ish liters of the water with a Camden tablet for the first time and making the kit up with 3 liters of the treated water in a saucepan and adding it back to the rest of the water, and not allowing for the volume of the kit and sugar...... so what I’m trying to get at in a long winded way is I thought it might be a bit thin and may benefit from a little lift with some hops. Do you think I should just brew as is with out anything else? I do have some fuggles,

Hops aren't going to remedy any problems of thinness, you'd need to add more malt or malt extract for that. 5-10g fuggles added just before the end wont do any harm at all, but are not really necessary. Consider that if you'd diluted by adding 50% more water instead of 13% you'd probably end up with a rather nice mild!

If you are worried about 'thin' beer as @An Ankoù has said its malt you need not hops.
Assuming you have no LME or DME in your store but have a Holland and Barrett close by their LME is OK to brew with in small quantitities and in my view its not too late to add it to your brew, provided you do it today. A whole 450 (1lb) jar will add about 0.6%ABV to your beer. But if you go that route its probably best to dilute and thin it in some boiling water first, then as you add it and mix it in make sure you dont entrain any air into your fermenting beer
