This is probably a daft question, but thought I'd check before going out and buying the wrong type.....
I have installed a ball valve on my tea urn and the hose barb connection measures about 10mm outside diameter. What size silicone tubing would I need to get for a good fit ?
My initial thoughts were that 10mm inside diameter would do the job, but then realised I don't how much the silicone tubing diameter will stretch.

It's actually a very good question. It's not that expensive, so try a few sizes. 8mm x 12mm would fit although easier if you put it in hot water for a minute or two. Or possibly 9mm x 15. Mine seems to stretch with time and become loose so I have bought some fuel hose clips to keep it secure.

Ebay has stuff by the metre https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clear-Translucent-Silicone-Tubing-FDA/253725521846

and these are the type of clips I use.

Cheers Kelper. I have a cunning plan, I'll unscrew the hose barb and take it with me to my local HBS and try them for size.
