For what it's worth, my panels produce surplus from start of April to end of September.
6kw system. Electric only house, heating via air conditioning, hot water via immersion heater for bath/shower (& kettle in the kitchen due to pipe run length)
On the worst cold, gloomy winter days in Dec/Jan I can just about make 1kwh total for the whole day.
2024 was a crap year and it didn't produce as much as 2023 where summer surplus almost balanced the winter usage in kWh generated.
