Spent an enjoyable afternoon in the kitchen today and thought I'd post up. 2 lots of stuffing John Torrodes Red Currant and boozy orange and Merchant Gourmets Chestnut stuffing (used to be on side of Chestnut puree tin...now long gone)...the only stuffing the father in law has eaten and enjoyed other than paxo :shock: ... :lol:
Then some of Jamies get ahead gravy, 1st runnings shown, did a second runnings and upon testing we decided we liked a 2:1 mix of 1st and 2nd. Recipe done slightly differently as we processed al the ingredients after simmering and it makes a great improvement on the original. Also reduced the star anise to 1 as too strong last year with 2 Not sure if we'll use it but it's there if we want it
