Has, or does anyone do this? I.e. take a one can kit and then brew with half as much water and no additional sugar or malt. would I be right in thinking it'll work fine and end up with a stronger flavour, but similar alcohol to a 1Kg of fermentables, or am I being too simplistic in my thoughts?

Any thought welcome.

It will be double the bitterness so may not work, depending on the style.

I have not done this but I have used 2 cans and 2kg fermentable for a 23L stout.

I hadn't thought about the bitterness, although was thinking about a Coopers Lager or Australian Pale Ale which are light beers in any case. When Tesco have their cheap deals on again I may buy one and give it a go.
