Shiny for malt extract kits

:hmm: Newish member dropping a link in their very first post would usually be regarded as spam, deleted immediately and the user banned.

The negative tone of your supporting text either turns people away from your link or is a very clever ruse to get some of the more affluent members to read it.

I don't know what to do about you :wha:

I'm leaving it for now but flagging it for other site crew's attention.

Kindly identify yourself and state your brewing interests with an introduction.

A little fishy, I agree Moley.

But I doubt they will be selling many @ $5660 NZ without shipping

It could be a ruse to increase the links to their site, upping their Googleablity in turn, so maybe a good Idea to Bin It :hmm: :wha:

For me though I think I'll stick to buying NZ Hops the brewing equipments a bit rich for me.

UP

I think he is genuine as the same name popped up in the SCB forum and actually lives in Dunfermline.

He appeared to come across as genuine when he PM'd me from the SCB site.

Ok, I moved this to the Moderators' Lounge so we could talk about you behind your back. I have now deleted all but Dunfie's comment and am putting this back where you left it.

I've also run a currency conversion on the price UP found.

Even without shipping there's hardly any change from three thousand Great British Pounds

HOW MUCH  ......Professional standard beer in 7 days :hmm: ............... Id soon save my money, wait a few weeks and have a good beer

Im a bit dubious of this claim as well. Profesional beer in & days... I don't see how an expensive shinny fermentor can acheive this. Is it rediculously high quality kits? In which case is the shiny fermentor needed?

For that price you could buy a hellofalotta decent shiny brew kit AG...

Maybe it's actually a ruse from someone who makes nice shiny conical fermentors and "proper" brewing gear to get people talking about how much amazing stuff you could get for that much coin...

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum thing and new to brewing. Just started have a multons ipa gold conditioning and just started a coopers lager. Have been quite impressed by the enthusiasm and imagination making at kits without spending £10 k

I apologise if I've offended y'all. It was a shed load of money for a Malt extract kit. Certainly makes it look easy and very shiny.

Yup im based in Dunfermline and own a company that builds house kits. So not in the brewing business at all. Just dabbling at at moment and spending way too much time in my shed and reading about beer.

I have found this forum interesting and has a positive view on life in general

Again my apologies I searched the forum for a post on this shiny and did not find one, I thought you may be interested and reverse engineered it for less than £ 100. No other motivation.

Regards
Grant

Hi Grant and welcome to the forum

No-one was offended but I hope that you can understand that when a new user posts a link in their very first post, the knee-jerk reaction is to delete the link and the member's account.

We get more spam on here than most members will ever be aware of because the forum is quite well guarded and between us we try to remove suspect posts usually within minutes.

Fortunately, you got the benefit of the doubt, so that link remains for others to gasp at. Very pretty but jaw-droppingly expensive.

£3000 for one shiney or £3000 for a brewing shed and lots of new shinies and alot of bags of ingrediants, i know where i will go.

just a quick point, thanks to the members who do all the checking of threads, personaly i would have bined it as spam and thanks for the hard work keeping the website very clean of spam

This is one of the oddest things I've ever seen!
It just seems so... sterile. I mean, the vast majority of HB-ers seem to get a kick out of the 'process' - time-consuming, messy, and (at times) tedious as it may be. I can't see where you'd get the sense of achievement ('I made this!') from.

Bizarre... :hmm:

I can't see the point in it at all.

If you want to spend lots of money and have beer ready in 7 days with no effort, pop down your local brewery and buy a polypin.

You could get a lot of polypins for £3,000

Agree - its a bit odd and I don't agree with most of the blurb on their site either... tis pretty though

Not sure about spammers ( due to top forum policing ) - but I have the sudden urge to get a Volvo... something subliminal I am sure

I thought that about volvo's noticed it on other post's too.
