Just finished brewing my session lager

Here's the details :)

Mash water 13.62l, Sparge water 17.38l @ 77c (Set for the grainfather)

Lager Malt 2.81kg
Flaked maize 939g

1hr Mash @65c

Hellertauer hersbrucker 25g Start of boil
Hellertauer hersbrucker 15g last 5 mins
Perle 25g last 5 mins (experiment)

1 tsp Irish moss last 15 mins

Wyeast 2000 Budvar.

Est 3.4% ABV
OG 1038 (mine turned out at 1044 so happy with that)
IBU 9.8
EBC 5.5

Just letting the yeast get going at 16c then will move to brew fridge to ferment at 10c tomorrow. Once fermented, conditioning for 4 weeks minimum at 3c
 
Yes, IBUs sound quite low. I guess it depends on what you are shooting for.

When I make "session" drinks, I usually try to make them taste like normal drinks my mashing high and keeping the hops fairly normal in bitterness.
 
Sorry guys only seen this just now. I wanted a really light coloured lager which it seems I have achieved. Just checked it in the brew fridge and it's bubbling away from the bottom like a trooper at 10c. Looks quite clear as it is in the FV but with a nice red golden colour. Gutted I left doing a lager so late as it wont be done for xmas. But my birthday is in March so should be nicely conditioned by then if it lasts that long.
