Promash is on both the laptop and PC. The laptop is fine but the PC keeps deleting PM taking away the content and leaving an empty file.

Does anyone else have this problem :?:
 
Hmm. Can't say I've come across that one.

Is it just the data files or are your recipes disappearing as well?

If just the data files, try setting them read only and see what happens - obviously you won't be able to add any new ingredients or anything unless you set them writable again.
 
Everything Jb. It even takes the help section and removes the icons from the desktop leaving an empty file.
