My Owd B*astard Mild has been in the FV for three weeks now. The reason it's been in there so long is because it was full of diacetyl and I wanted to give it time to clean itself up, which it seems to slowly but surely doing.

Last weekend I moved the FV along the kitchen work top so I could clean the kitchen. The beer in the FV sloshed about a bit but not huge amounts. The following day some little bubble rafts had appeared on the surface which I attributed to me sloshing the FV and releasing someCO2 trapped in the trub.

However, very slowly over the week more and more bubble rafts have been appearing forming a ring around the inside of the FVlike a little bubble halo. I've just looked again and the bubbles mat is starting to head into the middle and cover the surface of the beer.

I think a new krausen is forming, which is nearly three weeks after the last one formed then disappeared. Never had anything like this happen before - quite interesting really, I plan to bottle the weekend after this one so I'll see if a new krausen does indeed form
