I like DuckDuck Go; If you put !g in front of a search it gets results from Google, but anonymously. If you put !a in front you can find stuff on Amazon much more quickly than loading Amazon and using their search. Like wise !e for eBay.

Opers is a great browser but there is a lot of negative stuff online about it being bought by a big Chinese company, a lot of users moved to Opera because they always made securuty one of the big reasons for choosing it but it is now in doubt, Vivaldi is the new Opers and some of the original devs are working on it, I started using it yesterday and am impressed it's got a lot of options and definatly worth a try.

In terms of data collection Microsoft is on par with Google.

I agree but having used some of the less well known engins this weekend I have found they all do not compare to Google or Bing for relevent results, I find Bing less annoying as the results don't seem to be advert driven like google.
