In J Berry's book Home Brewed beer and Stouts he recommends the removal of the scum which forms at the top in the FV during the earlier part of the fermentation, because he states, if left the beer can become 'yeast bitten'.
Anyone else have any thought on this?
It does in fact mess up the underside of the lid and can leach out of the FV. :hmm:
