Now moved as this is no longer brewing related, Nor worth any more time over.

wait til Moley sees this.... someone will have their baws chewed.
It's not my call, but someone else has already flagged it for Admin's attention.

Sterile forum? :wha: I've always thought this one was quite lively, good craic, and members are allowed to get away with rather a lot, but someone's pushing their luck. Trolls may be slightly higher than spammers in the food chain, but it's marginal.

I think "sterile" was ment to be a joke as well :) The forum content cannot be seen as sterile in the true sense as Mr. Mole mentioned :thumb:
what more can I say.

P.S. I did say wind up. ;)

What you did you probably at the time thought was funny and you were under the influence.

You have cried wolf now and people may well take what you post with a pinch of salt and when perhaps you ask legitimate questions about brewing people may be a little hesitant in responding, I know I will.

For a pretty sterile forum, a little excitement is needed very now and again right?

.

At the time I thought it was hilarious, the absolute epitome of humor..

Now that I am sober and sore headed, not so much. I did it for a laugh, for a giggle. If you didn't find it hilarious, I can deal with that, if I upset you or P'd you off, I am genuinely sorry, that wasn't my intention. I am a strong believer in free speech and standing by your actions, yet, in the relatively small time I have been on this forum I have come to know a few people and have been welcomed openly and it concerns me that I might have upset one or two people. So, in conclusion, I am sorry if you were offended by this but seriously,

"You have cried wolf now and people may well take what you post with a pinch of salt "

Sometimes you need to take life with a pinch of salt mate. Take a breath, open a beer, dry your eyes, smile, move on..

No you didn't offended me with your original post

But that does.

You have said that this forum is a little "sterile". This is a forum which embraces people of all ages with the common interest of brewing. Over the last few years this forum has become 'younger' and us 'older' ones have adapted and embraced the younger generation of members, a little of the same wouldn't go a miss.

As I said when you have young kids and the responsibility that entails, then you look at life through a different set of eyes.

The thread has played out well enough. M, the use of emoticons can help indicate to folk the nature of a post. If one or 2 had been used in your original post folk might have realised you were joking ;)
I don't have kids and have accidently fallen foul (unknowingly) of how strong parents can feel about comments...I don't go there any more

The 'sterile' comment has been the bit of this thread that made me laugh  I don't think that description can be applied anywhere, occasionally it gets a bit serious, but the forums never too far up it's own backside :nono:

Before I found this forum I'd registered on another homebrew forum as a newcomer and introduced myself in my own 'Totally Barking Baz' style  and put the odd post on and asked a question or two, never got a reply so needless to say looked elsewhere ...... and ended up here  but at least you lot put up with us old codgers who might have a different sense of humour  so I think it's far from being sterile :thumb:

........ senile at times maybe, but never sterile

Oi I resemble that remark :wha:

I love this forum and think it's a wonderful place for information and help on everything homebrew related, but I have learnt that making jokes on here seems to offend some people all the time.

Maybe we should set up a "post your jokes" thread, that way everyone will know that things written in there are jokes and not to be taken seriously. Then people without a sense of humour don't need to read that thread.
