Anyone use one of THESE

and before you all start saying that TOM TOM or Garmin are the best I don't need or want an expensive bit of kit as I wont use it often and don't need all the extras like traffic updates etc just want a cheap easy to use unit. I pay £5 a month extra on my mobile bill for Orange Maps and probably use it once a month so a £40 sat nav would do the same job and save me money. Just wondered if anyone had experience of the brand.

I don't have one of them, but are intrgued as to why you are paying for Orange Maps.

Are you not able to use the google maps on your phone, it's obviously phone dependant but it works on any Android phone, and the navigation side of it works well, with free traffic updates, and it's all for free, as long as your phone has free data access and GPS built in.

Second on Google navigation, mine is great! Can't see any harm is a cheap sat MAC, just make sure you can charge it in the car or it'll be rather useless :)

I don't use mobile Internet as the coverage with Orange is rather pants. I kind of don't but do pay for orange maps. It was an option when I upgraded phone last year and rather than take the loyalty discount I had it added at no extra charge if you see what I mean. I could now have it removed from my bundle and save £5 a month. I'm now looking at ways to save money and buying a cheap sat nav and changing phone bundle is looking like a good option. Oh and I stay with Orange because I get my home broadband for free in the mobile package.
