Do all pub/bars use a common standard of couplers? I need to get a coupler for a keg and there seems to be several different standards. Seems the ‘S’ type is the most common in the UK. Not sure if only the S type are known as Sankey?

I’m assuming pubs will have standardised as they won’t want to be faffing about swapping couplers for different beer brands. Especially if they have rotating guest beers on constantly.

Thanks.

Different brands have different connectors.

A Type - Guinness
S Type (Sankey) - Asahi, Carlsberg, Heineken
G Type (Grundy) - Molson Coors - Carling.
U Type - Stella

Confusingly there is also a US Sankey, type D.

Quite a good explanation video on kegland.
You can get a connection from kegland that fits on the keg lid and has ball lock connectors held on by tri clamp. I've got a few of these they also work well.
Also use D Sankey, key keg connector and S connection for another barrel.
