Has anyone else tried this stuff? Oh my days it's nice!

I was thinking of brewing a summer IPA for my next brew, but this is tempting me to the dark side :)

Would this recipe get me close?

That and add some chocolate malt and hot chocolate powder maybe?

If you've not tried it, get some! Abel and Cole sell it.

Unfortunately I've not had that beer but it sounds good. I would add though that adding different types of chocolate flavouring will have different effects on the beer. Some processed cocoa has certain oils in which aren't good for beer, like hot chocolate powder.

Most chocolate stout recipes usually add cocoa/cacao nibs. This aren't very processed and give a nice chocolatey flavour. IT's recommended to grind them up and add them for a few weeks in secondary. Some people soak them in vodka or somethingto sterilise them first, but you can also boil them.

This beer is top notch. No idea how you brew it though!

I'm wondering whether you'd want dark chocolate powder. You can get that high percentage cacao stuff.

Just had a look at the Sam Smiths website but there's not a great deal of information there.
