Just started this off for swmbo. Unusual high amount of sugar needed 1.5kilos? Has anyone else had a kit that has required this amount of sugar.
Another puzzle it said top up to 5 gallon then add the yeast after 24 hours.I got the temp down to 67f took a sg reading came out at 1052 then i added the yeast. I have never had a kit were yeast is added 24 hours later i like to get the yeast in asap for obvious reasons.
Now for the brave bit i threw in a handful of home grown rhubarb and added around 3tbls of cinnamon. Will that affect the brew in any adverse way or is that what you do if you want to spice a kit up a bit.

Regards.
