please no ooh i bought a hole cutter im trying to start something here and provide a service
please help i can always tweak design once i have the samples

i think i might just get these shipped and take it from there

thanks chaps

Looks interesting, Titch.

What bore is the pipe leading out from the pot - will it be compatible with UK fittings eg: 15mm?

Personally, I can't see any problems with having a nut at the bottom of the pot - no different to having one on a side mounted valve assy.

What's the internal dia of the pot - (thinking false bottom sizing - available off the shelf from current suppliers or will one have to be made up).

pipe is 15mm, but looking into getting stainless if cost is not too much
the nut is just annoying but they have said they can look into better/other options when full production starts
the bottoms will be made all being well by a forum member time and costs dependant, we will be having a few beers when they arrive to discuss and measure ;-)

but i see no problems with people buying as is or with a bottom

i am also looking into getting the pipe terminated as a screw thread so a tap can go straight into it

i got my tracking number today so they are on there way so fingers crossed

Very interested in this, Titch.

I'd be interested in one fitted with a false bottom and ready to roll, keep us posted!

I have made enquiries but prices were silly. So maybe ill do this deal and then move on and make some more enquiries

How about a standard bin style tv but with a water jacket. Would be the same as the mash tun minus the hole in the bottom, and either a water input output on the water jacket or enough space for a fish tank element.

looks very good! Despite my original sceptisim. I may place an order! Is in the insulation up to scratch in particular the lid? May be worth doing a trial mash at 70C and seeing how many degrees C you loose over 30min, 1h, 2h etc?
