hi all was thinking of doing a brew soon and thinking of doing something different as always doing pale ales. and then it come to me a ruby ale but the i also come to me that what malt make it that lovey ruby ale :wha:

Munich malts offer a red to amber tint? Never done one myself but sure someone will know how.
or you could cheat and add Beetroot Juice or Raspberry ;)

Red is just a shade of brown (in case of beer, that is ;)). Some say it's the range of 34-37 EBC, but as this range is very narrow, even with the help of sophisticated brewing software it's a hit-and-miss game unless you have very strict control over the ingredients and process.

But trying is a clue in our hobby. :)
