Been well over a week since brew2bottle posted my prize, apparently it's been stuck in Birmingham since late october and I still don't have it yet. Brew2bottle have been contacted - it's not their fault. I wanna brew that beer/wine :C

Royal Mail drove me nuts when it came to vintage primus stoves....grrrrrr

Parcelforce are 100 time worse than Royal Mail. Ended up with grain sitting in their Perth depot for nearly 3 weeks last month through their errors - it’s a good job I hadn’t ordered any liquid yeast

I work for Royal Mail as a postman. I call BS on your parcel being stuck in Birmingham since October.
Do you have a tracking number
Only time parcels get stuck in a place is if the customer hasn't collected a parcel after a P739 card is posted

I just had an email from brew2bottle saying they are sending me a new parcel. As for the bs, if the card had been posted I would have had it. The only reason I know that parcel went to Birmingham is that Brew2bottle told me that after they had dispatched it, it went straight to Birmingham. Due to it being tracked, they told me it has not even left there, so p739 that excuse....?!?!!?? Brew2bottle don't give you the tracking number on a prize they send out. They tracked it and I can only say what I have been told.

I agree with brain dead. Cant see that happening. Everyone can have a issue with any delivery company. Why would they send again if it was just stuck.

Something sounds fishy here. Why send that expensive lot out again if they know it's stuck in Birmingham..?

I've had it happen twice. A bottle gets broken during transit so the postal service refuse to continue with the shipping. Contact supplier, who confirm that the consignment is being returned and they ship another, which arrives intact. Some days or weeks later the original order turns up either repackaged or taped up. I always thought it would be uncharitable to complicate their insurance claim just because of scruples.

How do they know it went straight to Birmingham if not tracked???
They didn't send it out.
Parcels don't just get left in a mail centre with an address on
Unlike Hermes, DPD etc we dont leave mail undelivered

As a different perspective to this, what would Brew2bottle expect to gain by possibly lying?

Ive had an issue with royal mail a couple of times this last week returning tracked deliveries because we didn't put a door number on the delivery paperwork. The deliveries were coming to a huge warehouse that doesn't have a bloody door number.

Ive also recently had issues with deliveries from Crossmyloof coming to my home address that were signed for by someone - just not at my address. Crossmyloof replaced the goods no questions asked.

I can see this happening exactly as described based on my experience.

I have decided to close this as its pure speculation and i don't think accusing a forum sponsor that has given away hundreds of pounds of brewing gear of lying is going to do the forum or members any favours!
