thought i would build a rotating sparge arm :thumb:

i would like to reduce the weight even more the 2 brass nuts that hold arms on does any body know if you can say a alli one or a plastic nut that would be ok at 80 deg c cheers :thumb:

up date had a play got rid of 2 brass nuts olives 28 grams lighter now :D

I made mine out of 8mm copper tube using end feed fittings and rotating on an 8mm compression coupler. It weighs almost nothing.
I am having a brew weekend so wil post some pics and try and get some accurate measurements on flow rates etc.
 
Tazuk...is that rotating from the compression tee at the top, or is there something inside the white pipe?
 
yes look at pics you the joint where reducer is loads of ptfa tape on man thread and some round the olive then tighten it up not too far so you can spin arm easy ps i am on sparge arm mk4 now even better :D :thumb:
