rolled oats ?

Hi all,
This week I am hoping to brew a juicy NEIPA based on a maltmiller recipe.
I have most of the ingredients in stock apart from the rolled oats, am I right in thinking these are just standard porridge oats?

Bog standard porridge oats, as @Clint suggested.
I have read that some have toasted the oats in the oven before using them, but it isn't necessary.

I recently used porridge oats in a brew, but I have a question, should they be crushed? I gave them a wiz in the food processor just to be safe, but forgot to find out if it was necessary.

Hi I wouldn't bother to chop them in the processor as they will dissolve in a 60 min boil

Sorry meant you mash them and they tend to dissolve especially if re-circing
